#23 The Book Thief...a first , final thought

gut reaction? was it good?, bad? average?..too hard? too easy? appropriate for gr 9 academic English?...and for all, what one thing will you remember from it?

Dec 10...what's what...

1. The Book Thief for today 430....for tomorrow: 451.............2. The Report: due tomorrow (but "shooting for Monday").................IN that report: a. title page b. table of contents c. the report which includes the information (not plagiarized), subheadings (as indicated in table of contents), images/graphs/maps etc and d. a bibliography.

Dec 3 class in library

1. Reminder: shared news story for tomorrow (see yesterday's instructions)............2. The Book Thief: read to the end of 293 - quiz to that point tomorrow............3. The research report...continue researching....outline due Monday (see example...from pgs 49-50 of on your own))...finished copy must include a title page, a table of contents, headings and subheadings, hopefully images, graphs, charts etc and a bibliography. The actual report itself 1-5 pages....and avoid plagiarism!

today: 1. The Book Thief..read from pages 238-266 (book will be finished within two weeks)......2. Reminder: find a news story that you can connect with the novel. copy the url of the story into a google document and share it with me (tv30266)......3.
